Anime "Maho Tsukai Pretty Cure!" Sequel Episode 1: Fans Delighted with "Closer Transformation Scene" of Grown-up Pretty Cure

The sequel to the anime "Maho Tsukai Pretty Cure!", titled "Maho Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ～MIRAI DAYS～" (hereinafter referred to as "MahoPri 2"), premiered on January 11th. The protagonists, now grown up, transformed into Pretty Cure once again, causing a stir with reactions such as "They've become so mature" and "They have a strong and wonderful presence."

"Maho Tsukai Pretty Cure!! ～MIRAI DAYS～" is set several years after the conclusion of the previous series. In the first episode, "Reunion is Miraculous and Magical!", Asahina Mirai (voiced by Rie Takahashi), now a university student, reunites with Riko Izayoi (voiced by Yui Horie).

To confront a new enemy, the two transform once again after a long time. Their familiar frilly costumes have subtly changed since the previous series, and the 20-year-old Mirai joyfully notes, "A lot has changed!"

The story follows 20-year-old Asahina Mirai and 19-year-old Riko Izayoi, who learn of a new crisis threatening both the magical and non-magical worlds and transform into Pretty Cure once again.

Asahina Mirai leads an ordinary university student's life while secretly acting as a "Magic Girl" who helps people with magic, alongside her stuffed animal companion, Mofurun, enjoying fun-filled yet hectic days. One day, a giant monster resembling a bear appears in Tsunagi Town, where Mirai lives. Mirai attempts to fight it with magic but struggles to make any impact, facing a dire situation. At that moment, Riko Izayoi, who is supposed to be a teacher at the magic school in the magical world, inexplicably appears before Mirai. The two join hands and transform into Pretty Cure for the first time in a long while, successfully driving away the monster with their well-coordinated teamwork. After the battle, a mysterious young man named Ail appears before them. Knowing that Cure Miracle is actually Mirai, he leaves with the enigmatic words, "The next time we meet will be... in 14 hours and 4 minutes," and disappears...
