The creative group CLAMP has announced the resumption of serialization for their latest work in the 'xxxHOLiC' series, titled 'xxxHOLiC: Rei'.

'xxxHOLiC' originally began its serialization in 2003 in Kodansha's "Young Magazine" Issue 13. The series garnered attention for its innovative storytelling, which intertwined with 'Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE'. The series features a mysterious female character named Yuko Ichihara, who knows everything about the world but chooses to say nothing. To balance this enigmatic aura, the series incorporates comedic interactions with the character Watanuki.

In 2009, the series was renamed 'xxxHOLiC: Rou' and concluded in 2011. The series then resumed in 2013 as 'xxxHOLiC: Rei'. The television anime adaptation consisted of 24 episodes in the first season and 13 episodes in the second season. Additionally, 'xxxHOLiC: A Midsummer Night’s Dream', a theatrical movie, and an OVA titled 'xxxHOLiC: Shunmuki', included in the limited editions of volumes 14 and 15, were also produced.

The series was adapted into a television drama on WOWOW in 2013, and a live-action film directed by Mika Ninagawa was released in 2022. Furthermore, from January 24th (Friday), a stage play titled 'Theatrical Supernatural Tale "xxxHOLiC" - Continued: Again -', produced by Nelke Planning, commenced its performances.

The serialization of 'xxxHOLiC: Rei' will resume in "Young Magazine" Issue 21, which will be released on April 21, 2025 (Monday).
