Hikaru Tono Boldly Declares "If I Were to Date, It Would Be Sumire Uesaka; If I Were to Marry, It Would Be Yū Serizawa"! Disheartened Uesaka Responds, "So You're Saying I'm Only Good for a Short Time?"

On January 28th (Tuesday) from 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM, ABEMA's "Anime LIVE Channel" aired episode #32 of "Voice Actors Night Out [Sumire Uesaka x Yū Serizawa]."

In this broadcast, Hikaru Tono from the TV anime "The Unfortunate Job [Appraiser] Was Actually the Strongest" appeared. In the anime collaboration project "Who is the Strongest Appraiser!?", the three took on various "appraisal" challenges. Additionally, in "Let's Discover a Side of Tonopi That Nobody Knows!", Tono responded to questions from the two MCs, such as "How do you relieve stress?" and "If you were to date someone, would it be Sumipe or Seriko?"

■Great Friends! A Night of Merrymaking with Hikaru Tono!

This week's guest, Hikaru Tono, and the two MCs are well-acquainted, having even had home parties at Serizawa's place. Tono has visited Serizawa's home multiple times, with Serizawa noting, "You're the only one who came two times in a row in November and December," and calling Tono one of her few friends. The private talk continued, revealing surprising aspects of Serizawa, who happily exclaimed, "We're friends, right!?" when an unexpected episode came up. The show started with a bang from the opening talk.

In this broadcast, Uesaka and Serizawa posed intriguing questions to Tono to uncover unknown aspects of her in "Let's Discover a Side of Tonopi That Nobody Knows!" Questions such as "What do you have for breakfast?", "What's your specialty dish?", and "How do you relieve stress?" were quickly fired off, revealing Tono's private life.

Uesaka also asked, "If you were to date someone, would it be me or Seriko?" To which Tono, troubled, replied, "Oh no, what should I do? You mean 'if I were to date,' right?" The two then added, "If you were to marry, who would it be?" Tono answered, "If I were to date... it would be Pesan (Uesaka)!" and when it came to marriage, she hesitantly answered "Yū-san" with a bit of compromise. This prompted Serizawa to retort, "What the heck! That's not very satisfying!"

Tono explained her reasoning by saying, "Yū-san is a gamble! She's meticulous and a quick worker, so I worry she might get fed up with my relatively slow pace." However, she also noted, "But since she's tidy and reliable, when looking at the long term like 'marriage,' Yū-san might be the better choice," to which Serizawa smiled contentedly.

Meanwhile, Uesaka, chosen as the "partner" but not as the marriage partner, exclaimed disheartenedly, "So I'm only good for a short time!?" Tono explained her choice by saying, "Pesan is someone I can share a drink with! That's a really high point," but added, "However, when I'm in a high-tension mood and go 'Yay!', rather than joining in, I feel like saying 'Calm down, Pesan!' (taking care of her). Having to do that for life... it's a lot to shoulder (laughs)," which made both MCs burst into laughter. Uesaka nodded in agreement, acknowledging, "Indeed, it's tough to take care of."

Additionally, the program featured a collaboration project with "The Unfortunate Job [Appraiser] Was Actually the Strongest." In "Let's Convey the Appeal of 'The Unfortunate Job [Appraiser] Was Actually the Strongest'!", Tono and Serizawa discussed the highlights, character development, and the atmosphere during recording sessions for the anime.

Furthermore, in line with the story of the protagonist Ein, who grows despite being in the unfortunate job of an appraiser, the three took on the "Who is the Strongest Appraiser!?" challenge. Problems such as "Identify the Darjeeling tea from three types of tea" for Tono, "Identify the shumai by smell from shumai, xiaolongbao, and spring rolls" for Uesaka, and "Identify the tagame from three items in a box by touch" for Serizawa were posed. The appearance of her nemesis, the tagame, made Serizawa scream, "Wait a minute!? I'm leaving, I'm leaving! I don't want to do this anymore!"

Despite her fears, Serizawa tackled the challenge, showcasing her variety show spirit. Observing Serizawa's determination, Tono remarked with a surprised expression, "Voice Actors Night Out is amazing. I really felt the greatness of my seniors," which elicited laughter.
