"That Voice is Cool" "Seems Like a Final Boss" - The Assassin Killer Slur Makes His First Appearance in Episode 5 of the Anime "Sakamoto Days"

In the fifth episode of the anime "Sakamoto Days," which aired on February 8th (and is still being broadcasted), the character known as "X," also known as "Slur," who is famous for killing killers, made his debut. Daisuke Namikawa, a voice actor, provided the voice for Slur, and fans on the internet have responded positively, saying "Namikawa fits perfectly as Slur!"

In the fifth episode, titled "The Reason for Strength," the former assassin Sakamoto Taro (CV: Tomokazu Sugita) goes to meet the boss of the Donden-kai to have the bounty on his head removed. However, he finds that the upper echelons of the Donden-kai have been decimated.

Nagumo (CV: Natsuki Hanae), a former colleague of Sakamoto's from his assassin days who was already in the building, explained, "Recently, there's been a surge in the number of assassins being killed. We call the person responsible 'X' or 'Slur,' because they always leave an 'X' mark at the scene."

The scene then shifts to Slur, who is seen drawing an 'X' on a wall amidst numerous dead bodies, commenting, "The balance is a bit off, maybe...?"

The appearance of this killer of killers has caused a stir online, with comments like "He seems like he could be the final boss" and "The story has suddenly progressed." Now that Slur has a voice in the anime, fans are praising Namikawa, saying "Namikawa is perfect as Slur!" and "His voice is cool."

"Sakamoto Days" is an anime adaptation of a popular manga by Yuto Suzuki, currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha). The story is a "neo-action" blend of the ordinary and the extraordinary, with the former legendary assassin Sakamoto fighting off a series of attackers in order to protect his peaceful everyday life with his beloved family.

Episode 5: "The Reason for Strength"
[Synopsis]
In the haunted house of the amusement park, Sakamoto and his friends are attacked by the hitmen from the Donden-kai, Boiled and Obiguro. During the battle with Boiled, Sakamoto's memories of his assassin days resurface, and he enters serious mode to face Boiled in a one-on-one showdown to protect his beloved family! Meanwhile, Shin and Lu struggle in their fight against Boiled's partner, Obiguro. Amidst all this, the special task force "ORDER," directly under the Hitmen Alliance led by Nagumo, begins investigating a certain incident that has been occurring recently in the assassin community.
