Were You Not in the 11th Universe? Episode 17 of "Dragon Ball DAIMA" Features Gomer, Who Bears a Striking Resemblance to the Pride Troopers, Leaving Fans Saying "Looks Way Too Familiar LOL"

In episode 17 of the anime "Dragon Ball DAIMA," which began airing on February 7th, the intense battle between Son Goku (CV:Masako Nozawa) and Majin Duu (CV:Fukushi Ochiai) finally commenced. However, just as the excitement was building, the fight was disrupted by King Gomer (CV:Shotaro Morikubo), who intervened with his third eye. With his intimidating appearance and outfit resembling the Pride Troopers from "Dragon Ball Super," viewers were left bewildered, commenting that "everything except the face looks just like Jiren."

Faced with Dr.Arinsu (CV:Yoko Hikasa), who leads Majin Kuu and Majin Duu, Goku and his allies attempted to negotiate with the Supreme Kai to hand over the Dragon Balls. However, Dr.Arinsu, being the elder sister, refused. Instead, she proposed a one-on-one battle with the Dragon Balls at stake, leading to the showdown between Goku and Majin Duu.

Majin Duu, who had previously defeated Tamagami Number One, proved his strength was genuine. The fiery battle unfolded with Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan, unable to let his guard down. It was a match that captivated viewers, but Gomer, oblivious to the atmosphere, spoiled the moment by intruding at a crucial point.

Previously, Gomer was considered too small to effectively claim the title of Great Demon King, lacking in impact. However, after affixing Third Eye to his forehead,  Gomer's power-up transformed him into a completely different figure. Enlarged and with bulging muscles creating an extraordinary aura of intimidation, Gomer exuded an overwhelming sense of strength.

The battle between Goku and Majin Duu was forcibly interrupted. Seeing even Vegeta being pushed back, Goku realized the strength of Gomer and, unusually, proposed a joint attack, saying, "Hey! Let's all go at him together!" Thus, Goku and his allies, along with their former enemies Majin Kuu and Majin Duu, temporarily joined forces to confront Gomer in an unprecedented twist.

Meanwhile, as Gomer appeared, social media began to buzz, likely due to his red and black sporty attire and appearance. This was no surprise, as it closely resembled the uniforms of the Pride Troopers, the justice-keeping hero team from Universe 11 introduced in the "Universe Survival Saga" of "Dragon Ball Super."

Moreover, Gomer's muscular physique and intimidating presence are reminiscent of Jiren, the strongest warrior of Universe 11. Viewers chimed in with comments like, "He kind of looks like the Pride Troopers lol", "I thought it was Jiren lol", and "He looks a bit too familiar lol".

Furthermore, the much-anticipated match between Goku and Du was interrupted, leading to a barrage of criticism such as, "Gomer is so oblivious lol", "Couldn't he just stay out of it?", and "Why did King Gomer have to interfere in the fight between Goku and Du...".

The anime "Dragon Ball DAIMA" is a completely original series created by the late Akira Toriyama, who was in charge of the original work, story, and character design.
