Unbelievable Angelic Reproduction! The Stunning Transparency of Emilia's Cosplay from 'Re:ZERO'

On January 25-26, 2025, 'acosta!@Ikebukuro Sunshine City' was held. We interviewed Nanase, who participated in Emilia's cosplay from 'Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-'. We asked her about her favorite points of the cosplay and what she would like to try in the future.

--What inspired you to cosplay as Emilia from 'Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-' this time?

Nanase: Back in my first year of high school, a friend recommended 'Re:ZERO' to me, and I found it incredibly interesting! All the characters are charming, but I fell in love with Emilia-tan at first sight, and that was the moment I wanted to try cosplaying as her someday!

--What aspects did you want to express in this cosplay, and what are your favorite points?

Nanase: Emilia-tan has big eyes, so I made them bigger with makeup and editing. And about the ears, since Emilia-tan is a half-elf, I tried to make the elf ears as short as possible! Also, personally, I love the frilly sleeves of Emilia-tan's outfit!

--I was shocked when I saw you at the venue because it felt like the real Emilia-tan was there! Have you cosplayed as Emilia several times before? Also, are there any tips or points you focus on to resemble Emilia?

Nanase: This is my third time, so I might have gradually figured out how to get closer to Emilia-tan with makeup and other techniques. But ultimately, I did rely on editing apps.

--Could you tell us about any other cosplays you would like to try in the future?

Nanase: There are so many! I want to try Makima from 'Chainsaw Man', Yuna-chan from 'SAO', Destiny from ‘takt op.’, and characters from 'Genshin Impact', and many more. I am still inexperienced, but I will do my best to get as close to the characters as possible, so I would be thrilled if you could support me!
