In Episode 35 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," which aired on March 21 (currently airing in sequence), Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yuki) and Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Otsuka) found themselves jumping into a waterfall pool out of necessity. Jinshi performed CPR on the drowning Maomao, and the internet was abuzz with reactions like "I was thrilled" and "What a handsome pair, dripping wet."

In Episode 35, titled "The Hunt," Jinshi is invited to a hunt and heads to Shihoku  Province in disguise, wearing a mask. However, during the meal, Jinshi fell victim to the heat and stepped outside alone. Maomao hurriedly followed to care for him.

Suddenly, they were attacked by unknown assailants. Jinshi quickly carried Maomao in his arms and leaped into the waterfall pool to escape. Inside a cave behind the waterfall, Jinshi performed CPR and chest compressions on the unconscious Maomao.

The intense developments sparked reactions online, with comments such as "Wow," "This is a legendary episode," "It's CPR, but it's a kiss!" "The art is beautiful..." "I was thrilled," and "What a handsome pair, dripping wet."

The anime "The Apothecary Diaries" is based on a light novel by Hyuganatsu. It has also been adapted into a manga and has surpassed 40 million copies in its series. It's a mystery-solving entertainment story about Maomao, a pharmacist's daughter with an abnormal obsession with poisons and medicines, and Jinshi, a mysterious and handsome eunuch, as they confront challenging cases in the imperial court.

Synopsis:
Accompanying Jinshi, who was invited to a hunt by Lady Loulang's father, Shisho, Maomao temporarily leaves the rear palace. Together with Jinshi, Gaoshun, and his son Basen, they head to the land governed by the Shisho clan, Shihoku Province. During a lavish banquet, Jinshi kept the mansion's windows closed and used a mask and alias. Though Maomao found their behavior curious, a conspiracy was unfolding behind the scenes.
