Episode 8 of the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” began airing sequentially from May 27. In the final next episode preview, a character shown from behind who closely resembles Lalah Sune from the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam” appeared, sparking excitement online with comments such as, “Is Lalah coming?” and “I can’t wait to see what happens next.”
Lalah Sune, who appears in “Mobile Suit Gundam,” is a girl who was orphaned and later taken in by Char Aznable and raised by the Flanagan Institute. She possesses remarkable Newtype abilities. Although Lalah herself has not directly appeared in “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” there have been multiple depictions of a sound referred to as “Lalah Sound,” prompting fans to speculate, “If we’re getting the ‘Lalah Sound,’ does that mean it’s related to Lalah?”
In episode 8, titled “Falling to the Moon,” there was a brief shot of Lalah being depicted when Char confronts the White Light Cannon. Furthermore, in the next episode preview, an image showed what appeared to be someone with Lalah’s distinctive hairstyle sitting on a swing.
Following the next episode preview, reactions online exploded with comments like, “Is that Lalah!?” “Is Lalah coming?” and “I can’t wait to see what happens next.” Some fans also offered predictions, saying, “Maybe it’s a clone,” and “If we see the face, it might be a completely different person.”
“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” is the latest entry in the “Mobile Suit Gundam” series, which has continued since 1979. The story follows Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa), a high school girl living peacefully on a space colony, who becomes embroiled in the illegal mobile suit dueling competition known as “Clan Battle” after meeting a girl named Nyaan (voiced by Yui Ishikawa). The series, jointly produced by Studio Khara, known for “Rebuild of Evangelion,” and Sunrise, gained significant attention, and the theatrical film released ahead of the TV series in January this year became a massive hit, earning approximately 3.4 billion yen at the box office.
