Kenshi Yonezu’s 15th single “Plazma / BOW AND ARROW,” which includes the opening theme song for the first season of the anime “Medalist,” will be released on June 11, 2025, and a celebratory illustration by the original creator of “Medalist,” Tsurumaikada, has been unveiled.

“Medalist” is a manga that has garnered much acclaim, including winning first place in the Comics Division of the “Next Manga Awards 2022” and multiple honors such as the General Division of the 48th Kodansha Manga Awards. The TV anime adaptation is currently gaining attention with the confirmation of a second season in production.

This single features a double A-side: “Plazma,” the main theme for the TV series “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” and “BOW AND ARROW,” the opening theme for the TV anime “Medalist.” The celebratory illustration by Tsurumaikada depicts the protagonists of both works facing off against each other.
