To commemorate the start of the TV anime "The Summer Hikaru Died," special ads began appearing in Shibuya and Ikebukuro from Monday, July 7. These ads feature the advance unveiling of previously unreleased visuals of Yoshiki, Hikaru, and Tanaka.

The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Mokumokuren, which won first place in the Men's Edition of "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023" (published by Takarajimasha). Set in a rural village, it is a coming-of-age horror story that begins when the protagonist's best friend is replaced by “something else.” The anime began its exclusive worldwide distribution on Netflix, exclusive free streaming on ABEMA, and terrestrial broadcast across 30 Nippon TV affiliates nationwide starting Saturday, July 5.
