[Photos/Images] "The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting" Surpasses 1.5 Million Copies in Total—Volume 14 Now on Sale! Special Release Fair with Illustration Cards Underway 1st

The heartwarming yakuza comedy “The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting” (manga by Tsukiya, published by Micro Magazine) has surpassed 1.5 million copies in total circulation. The latest Volume 14 was released on Thursday, July 10, 2025. To commemorate this, the “The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Volume 14 Release Memorial Fair” is currently being held at selected bookstores nationwide.

“The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting” is a heartful comedy depicting the daily lives of Tōru Kirishima, a yakuza who used to solve problems with violence and was feared in the underworld as the “Demon of the Sakuragi Family,” and Yaeka Sakuragi, the shy elementary school daughter of the Sakuragi family boss whom Kirishima serves as underboss. The story was also adapted into a TV anime in July 2022.

In addition to the regular edition, a limited edition featuring a newly drawn acrylic stand set (Tōru Kirishima and Kazuhiko Sakuragi) and a specially printed booklet containing an exclusive 4-page manga will be released simultaneously. Starting July 10, customers who purchase any volume (Vol. 1–14) of the Comic ELMO “The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting” series at participating bookstores will receive an exclusive fair-limited “Illustration Card” (2 types in total, limited quantities).

Furthermore, to celebrate the release of the latest volume, special gifts will be offered at individual stores to customers who purchase “The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Vol. 14.” Illustration cards will be given at Comirano!, Animate, Gamers, and WonderGOO; bromides will be distributed at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store and Surugaya; a magnet sticker will be available as a Surugaya limited item; message paper will be distributed at Book Ace; and a 1-page manga paper will be available at TSUTAYA (all while supplies last).
