[Photos/Images] The True Public Road Speed Legend Drawn by Shuichi Shigeno Begins! Young Magazine's New Series "Subaru to Subaru" Finally Launches 1st

The new manga series "Subaru to Subarui" by Shuichi Shigeno, the author of "Initial D" and "MF Ghost," has started serialization in Young Magazine issue 34, released on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

This is Shigeno's first new series since the conclusion of "MF Ghost" in February, and serves as a continuation of the story from "Initial D" and "MF Ghost."

"Subaru to Subaru" is set in the year following when Kanata Livington, a student of Takumi Fujiwara, dominated the world-famous public road race "MFG." In Gunma, Subaru Sato, and in Kanagawa, Subaru Kudo, both ignite their fighting spirit to take on that race. The worlds of "Initial D" and "MF Ghost" are united, and the curtain rises on a new legend of the fastest racers on the true public roads, spun by the two "Subarus."

Additionally, to commemorate the start of "Subaru to Subaru," 100 chapters of the preceding work "MF Ghost" are available for free on Young Magazine Web from Tuesday, July 22, 2025, to Monday, July 28, 2025.
