“Yoshiki Reaches Into Hikaru’s Body” Takes the Top Spot! The Summer Hikaru Died Episode 2’s Top 3 Most Commented Scenes

On the official ABEMA Anime Channel X account, the top 3 most commented scenes from episode 2, “Suspicion,” of The Summer Hikaru Died, have been announced.

The Summer Hikaru Died (abbreviated as “Hikanatsu”) is a coming-of-age horror manga by Mokumokuren serialized on the manga site Young Ace UP (KADOKAWA). The story features a blend of adolescent unease and terror.

The series depicts ordinary high school boy Yoshiki Tsujinaka as he experiences a variety of bizarre events in his daily life while living with a mysterious “something” that mimics his childhood friend, Hikaru Indou. The chilling developments involving the madness brewing between “something” and the boys have captivated many readers, and the original manga series has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation. The TV anime began airing in July 2025.

ABEMA independently investigated the scenes that received the most viewer comments from The Summer Hikaru Died episode 2, “Suspicion,” which aired on July 12 (Saturday). The results were published as “The Summer Hikaru Died Episode 2 Top 3 Most Commented Scenes” on the official ABEMA Anime Channel X account.
