[Photos/Images] Epic Sengoku Gag 4-Panel Manga "Ninja Girl & Samurai Master" Concludes 17-Year Run; Final Volume 23 Scheduled for Release at the End of October 1st

The epic Sengoku gag 4-panel manga "Ninja Girl & Samurai Master" (by Naoki Shigeno) has reached its final chapter in issue 15 of the serialized magazine "Young Animal" (Hakusensha) released on July 25, 2025 (Friday).

"Ninja Girl & Samurai Master" began its serialization in "Young Animal" in 2008, bringing an end to nearly 17 years of history.

Set in the Sengoku period, the series depicts the efforts of the ninja girl, Chidori, as she strives to help Oda Nobunaga unify Japan. This Sengoku comedy portrays the fierce battles of the maverick Oda Nobunaga, supported by the strongest ninja girl.

The final chapter is featured in a color spread at the beginning of the magazine. Seven years after a major historical event, the story explores what Nobunaga thinks in the world now governed by Hideyoshi. A roundtable discussion with creator Naoki Shigeno and successive editors-in-charge is also included. Additionally, the final 23rd volume of the manga is scheduled for release at the end of October.
