"Shin chan" Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary! Exhibition Event and Comments Released; Latest Volume 15 to Be Published on August 7

"Shin chan," created by Yoshito Usui and published by Futabasha, will mark its 35th anniversary in 2025 since its serialization began. To commemorate this, a special exhibition event titled "Original Work 35th Anniversary Project Exhibition: Shin chan We're Always Friends, Zū~tto Otomodachi da Zo" will be held at the Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBUYA from Saturday, August 23, 2025, to Sunday, September 28, 2025. Additionally, the latest Volume 15 is scheduled for release on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Shin chan started serialization in "Weekly Manga Action" (Futabasha) in August 1990 and will be celebrating its 35th anniversary. The event will showcase replicated manuscripts, valuable production materials, and photo spots. There will also be mini-games where visitors can play together with Shin chan and Shiro.

Furthermore, a comment from Yoshito Usui & UY Studio to celebrate the 35th anniversary has been released.

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, "Futabasha Junior Bunko: Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers" will be released, followed by "Shin shin chan Volume 15" on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The fully comic-adapted "Complete Comic: Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers," based on the newest movie set for release in August 2025, and other eagerly anticipated new publications will follow in succession.

Additionally, starting Thursday, August 7, 2025, the "Shin chan Quiz Rally" will begin at bookstores nationwide. By answering quizzes in-store and collecting keywords to complete a certain phrase, visitors can receive a special clear file designed with the 35th anniversary of the series and a poster of "Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers." Furthermore, a "Shin shin chan Starter Set," which comes with an exclusive design paper bag, will be sold for those who purchase Volumes 1 to 3 of "Shin shin chan" together.
