Novelization and Web Series Launch for "Urban Myth Dissolution Center" Announced; Volume 1 of the Comic "Urban Myth Dissolution Center Parallel File" Also to Be Released

Shueisha Games has announced that a novelization of "Urban Myth Dissolution Center" will start on Friday, August 1, 2025, alongside the release of Volume 1 of the comic "Urban Myth Dissolution Center Parallel File."

From JUMP jBOOKS, "Urban Myth Dissolution Center: Fragments" will be released, and from the Shueisha Mirai Bunko children’s literature label, "Urban Myth Dissolution Center Novelization Mirai Bunko Edition: Kaii wo Tokiakase" will be available on Friday, September 19, 2025. Additionally, Volume 1 of the comic "Urban Myth Dissolution Center Parallel File" will be released on the same day. Furthermore, a web serialization of the official spinoff novel, "Kitan: Urban Myth Dissolution Center," will begin on the Shueisha Orange Bunko website starting Friday, August 8, 2025.

"Urban Myth Dissolution Center: Fragments" features five urban legend stories lurking in the “gaps” of the main game. The participating authors include Keito Obikita, Kira Tsukinami, Seika Hibe, Ban Madoi, and Mirei Miyamoto. The stories are fully supervised by the game’s original publisher, Hakaba Bunko, and the cover is a brand-new illustration exclusively for the novelization. Additionally, a special sticker is enclosed at the end of the book.

"Urban Myth Dissolution Center Novelization Mirai Bunko Edition: Unravel the Mysteries" is a novelized version of the original game by Mochitaro Shida, designed to be accessible for elementary and middle school students.

"Urban Myth Dissolution Center Parallel File" is a comic adaptation of the original game by Emi Ishikawa, serialized in Ribon (Shueisha).

"Kitan: Urban Myth Dissolution Center" is an original novelization of the game by Kanako Ujiie, which will start its web serialization on the Orange Bunko website from Friday, August 8, 2025. For further details, please check the official Shueisha Orange Bunko X account(@orangebunko).
