The official ABEMA Anime Channel X account has announced the TOP 3 most commented scenes during the broadcast of DANDADAN Episode 17 (Season 2, Episode 5) “Everyone’s Having a Sleepover!”
DANDADAN is based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, currently serialized on Shonen Jump+. The story follows Momo Ayase, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate and occult fanatic Ken "Okarun" Takakura as they take on bizarre supernatural threats in a battle-filled, coming-of-age adventure.
When the first season of the TV anime aired in October 2024, its unique battles themed around the occult and its deep story quickly became a hot topic, with the cumulative circulation of the original manga surpassing 10 million copies. The second season began airing in July 2025, drawing significant attention to the new battles of Momo, Okarun, and their friends.
ABEMA independently investigated which scenes from DANDADAN Episode 17 (Season 2, Episode 5) “Everyone’s Having a Sleepover!”—broadcast late at night on July 31 (Thursday)—garnered the most viewer comments.
