A special program, "Rascal Does Not Dream of a University Student Special Broadcast," will be exclusively streamed live and free on ABEMA starting at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17.
"Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus" is the latest installment in the "Rascal Does Not Dream" novel series by Hajime Kamoshida. The story is a bittersweet and vivid adolescent fantasy that follows the protagonist Sakuta Azusagawa and the girls affected by "Adolescence Syndrome," where the unique emotions of puberty manifest as mysterious phenomena. The series has surpassed 3 million copies in total circulation, and since its 2018 TV anime adaptation, three theatrical films have been released. The TV anime currently airing from July this year marks the newest installment after about 7 years.
The special will feature Kaito Ishikawa as Sakuta Azusagawa, Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima, and Aya Yamane as Ikumi Akagi as guests. They will look back on the previously aired "Lost Singer Arc" and "Nightingale Arc," and introduce highlights and the latest information about the new "My Student Arc."
