It was announced that the cumulative box office revenue of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle- Act 1: Akaza Returns," which has been screening in theaters nationwide since July 18, surpassed approximately 25.7 billion yen in 38 days. The film attracted 19,825,555 viewers and earned 28,087,694,600 yen. This achievement surpasses the 1997 film "Titanic" and ranks as the third highest-grossing film in Japan's history.

The anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba" is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The anime broadcast in April 2019 sparked a social phenomenon, and the cumulative circulation of the 23 volumes of the manga surpassed 220 million copies.

Following the first TV anime series "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," the "Mugen Train Arc" was depicted in "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train," which recorded a total box office revenue of approximately 51.7 billion yen, becoming the highest-grossing film in Japan's history. From 2021 to 2022, the TV anime "Mugen Train Arc" and "Entertainment District Arc" were broadcast and distributed, followed by the "Swordsmith Village Arc" in 2023 and the "Hashira Training Arc" in 2024.

"Infinity Castle- Act 1" recorded 3.84 million viewers and a box office revenue of 5.52 billion yen in its first three days, setting new records for opening performance, first-day performance, and single-day performance. The film surpassed 12.87 billion yen in 10 days. It became the fastest film in Japanese history to surpass 10 billion yen in eight days, breaking the record set by "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train" (released in October 2020), which surpassed 10 billion yen in 10 days, making it the new No. 1 in history.

From August 15, screenings in MX4D and 4DX began. On August 17, the fourth key visual featuring the confrontation between Shinobu Kocho (voiced by Saori Hayami) and the Upper Rank Two, Doma (voiced by Mamoru Miyano), was released.
