A surprising flaw for the ever-perfect handsome man: his fashion sense! Loid (voiced by Takuya Eguchi) debuted a “fun and jolly father” outfit that was so tacky, his daughter Anya (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki) was left utterly appalled.

Currently, the anime “SPY x FAMILY” is being streamed in full. The story is based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo, serialized in “Shonen Jump+” (published by Shueisha). The series is a spy action comedy where the elite spy Loid Forger, in order to carry out a top-secret mission, disguises himself as a psychiatrist and lives as a “pretend family” with his assassin wife Yor Forger (voiced by Saori Hayami) and their telepathic daughter Anya Forger, all while hiding their true identities from each other. The TV anime aired Season 1 in 2022 and Season 2 in 2023, with Season 3 set to begin airing in October 2025.

Loid, the spy, is a master of disguise endowed with extraordinary observational skills and an exceptional memory. On top of that, he’s a tall, handsome man at 187 cm — truly someone who seems to have it all. However, in episode 32, a “ridiculously unstylish” side of Loid was revealed.

While visiting a shop on a luxury cruise ship, Loid was told by Anya, “I think you should express excitement with your whole body to make Anya enjoy herself even more!” Struggling to embody a “fun and jolly dad” through fashion, Loid agonized, saying, “Is there an optimal solution? Damn it, no good. I need to pursue an even more perfect look...!” The result of his overthinking was an outfit crammed with various elements: squid-print shorts, a crab-shaped hat, a swim ring, a water gun, and a wooden sword.

Confidently, Loid declared, “Flawless. From any angle, I am unmistakably a happy and jolly dad...!” However, Anya bluntly retorted, “Super lame. Total letdown.” The outrageous fashion choice Loid displayed sparked reactions online such as, “Sorry, Loid, but this is so tacky,” “He might be the perfect man except for his taste in clothes,” and “How did it come to this?”
