It has been announced that the cumulative box office revenue for "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle – First Chapter: Akaza Returns", which has been screening nationwide since July 18, has surpassed approximately 29.9 billion yen in its 45 days of release. The total number of admissions now stands at 21,102,792, with box office revenue reaching 29,983,483,800 yen. This places the film third in the all-time domestic box office rankings in Japan.

The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. Spurred by the anime's broadcast in April 2019, it became a social phenomenon, with the combined total print run of the manga's 23 volumes exceeding 220 million copies.

The franchise’s first TV anime series, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc", was followed by the "Mugen Train Arc", which was adapted into "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train". This film achieved a cumulative box office revenue of about 51.7 billion yen and remains the highest-grossing film in Japanese box office history. The "Mugen Train Arc" and "Entertainment District Arc" aired as TV anime from 2021 to 2022, followed by the "Swordsmith Village Arc" in 2023, and the "Hashira Training Arc" in 2024.

"Infinity Castle – First Chapter" drew 3.84 million viewers and earned 5.52 billion yen in box office revenue over its first three days, setting new records for opening performance, first-day performance, and single-day performance. The film surpassed approximately 12.87 billion yen in its first ten days. Its rapid surpassing of the 10-billion-yen milestone within just 8 days established it as the fastest film in Japanese history to achieve this feat, breaking the previous record set by "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train" (released in October 2020), which took 10 days.

Starting August 15, screenings in MX4D and 4DX formats began. On August 17, the fourth key visual featuring a confrontation between Shinobu Kochō (voiced by Saori Hayami) and Upper Rank Two Dōma (voiced by Mamoru Miyano) was released. On August 30, the second "Final Battle" commercial – Shinobu Kochō vs Dōma – featuring footage from the main film, was publicly released.
