The anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. It ignited a social phenomenon with the broadcast of the anime in April 2019, and the cumulative number of copies of all 23 comic volumes surpassed 220 million.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train,” which depicted the “Mugen Train Arc” following the first TV anime series ‘Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc,’ achieved a total box office revenue of approximately 51.7 billion yen and set the record for the highest grossing film ever in Japan. From 2021 to 2022, “Mugen Train Arc” and “Entertainment District Arc” aired as TV anime, followed by “Swordsmith Village Arc” in 2023, and “Hashira Training Arc” in 2024.

“Infinity Castle Arc - Part 1” attracted 3.84 million people and earned 5.52 billion yen in box office revenue during its first 3 days, breaking the records for best opening, first day, and single day box office in history. In just 10 days, it surpassed about 12.87 billion yen. It achieved the fastest ever 10 billion yen milestone in 8 days, surpassing the previous record set by “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train” (released in October 2020), making it the new No.1 in this category.

Starting from August 15, the film began screening in MX4D and 4DX formats. Internationally, it started its rollout in Asia, beginning with Taiwan in mid-August, followed by countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea.
