On November 5th, in issue 49 of "Weekly Shonen Magazine," the popular romantic comedy 'The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses' by Kouji Seo reached its final chapter with episode 217. Congratulatory comments celebrating the completion of the series have been received from the six cast members who played main characters in the anime adaptation.
'The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses' is a "seaside romantic comedy" depicting the communal life of Hayato Kasukabe, a young man who passed the entrance exam to Tokyo University, and five women. The series gained popularity through its diverse heroines and well-paced interactions, concluding after four and a half years of serialization.
Masaaki Mizunaka, who voiced Hayato, commented, "I've loved the romantic comedies drawn by Seo-sensei for a long time. Being able to be involved in sensei's work through the anime will forever and ever be my pride." Additionally, messages have been received from Ruriko Aoki who played Oka, Aya Yamane who played Riho, Asami Seto who played Akane, Azumi Waki who played Shiragiku, and Sayumi Suzushiro who played Ami, with the full text published in the magazine.

It was also announced that Kouji Seo's new series will begin in issue 7 of "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2026 (to be released on January 14th). The new work will be a romantic comedy set on a remote island.
