The title of "Eva Kabuki (tentative)," scheduled to be held on February 23rd (Monday, national holiday), has been decided as "Kabuki Symphony No. 1 Evangelion." At the same time, the key visual for this performance featuring Nagisa Kaworu and Ikari Shinji has been revealed for the first time. Additionally, it has been decided that Nagisa Kaworu will be played by the prince of the kabuki world, Onoe Sakon.

Since the TV series broadcast in 1995, "Neon Genesis Evangelion" has continued to create social phenomena. The final film "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time," released in 2021, became the first in the series to surpass 10 billion yen in box office revenue. As the series reaches its milestone 30th anniversary in 2025, various initiatives are being deployed, including the limited-time revival screening project "Tsuki 1 Eva" (Monthly Eva) and the 30th anniversary exhibition "ALL OF EVANGELION."

This time, details have been announced regarding performances in the "STAGE AREA," which will provide diverse stage entertainment over three days at the series' first festival event "EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION," to be held at Yokohama Arena in February 2026.

The performance title for the final day, February 23rd (Monday, national holiday), which had been announced as "Eva Kabuki (tentative)," has been officially decided as "Kabuki Symphony No. 1 Evangelion." At the same time, the key visual for this performance featuring Nagisa Kaworu and Ikari Shinji has been revealed for the first time.

The key visual features a Japanese-style design depicting Nagisa Kaworu floating in white robes above a sea illuminated by the setting sun, and Ikari Shinji standing on a sandy beach holding a large spear. Additionally, the cast member playing Nagisa Kaworu in this performance has been decided as kabuki actor Onoe Sakon.

The performance is planned to be a stage production woven together with kabuki dance, traditional Japanese music unique to kabuki (kabuki music), and video imagery. Attention is focused on how Onoe Sakon will express Nagisa Kaworu, who exudes a mysterious presence even within the "Evangelion" series. The role of Ikari Shinji will be announced at a later date.
