It has been revealed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle Chapter 1 - Akaza's Return, which was released starting July 18th, has surpassed a worldwide cumulative audience attendance of 89.17 million people and a total box office revenue of ¥106.3 billion (approximately $733 million USD at $1=¥145).

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The anime's broadcast in April 2019 triggered a social phenomenon, and the cumulative circulation of the 23 manga volumes has now exceeded 220 million copies.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, which adapted the Mugen Train Arc following the first TV series Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc, achieved a total box office revenue of approximately ¥51.7 billion and holds the record for the highest domestic box office revenue in Japan's history. This was followed by the Mugen Train Arc and Entertainment District Arc TV series which aired from 2021 to 2022, the Swordsmith Village Arc in 2023, and the Hashira Training Arc in 2024.

Infinity Castle Arc, Chapter 1 recorded an audience attendance of 3.84 million people and a box office revenue of ¥5.52 billion in its first three days, setting new all-time No. 1 records for opening weekend performance, opening day performance, and single-day performance. It surpassed approximately ¥12.87 billion in just 10 days. Breaking the ¥10 billion mark in just eight days makes it the fastest film in Japanese cinema history to do so, surpassing the record set by Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train (released October 2020), which took 10 days to cross ¥10 billion, and establishing a new all-time No. 1 record.

As of November 16, 2025, the performance figures for Infinity Castle Arc, Chapter 1 have been announced: the cumulative worldwide audience attendance is 89,177,796 people, and the total box office revenue is ¥106,370,568,950 (calculated at $1 = ¥145). The domestic performance in Japan, as of the same date over 122 days of release, is a cumulative audience attendance of 26,045,587 people and a total box office revenue of ¥37,927,589,200.
