We are publishing photos of BAN-chan, who participated in the "Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Fes 2025," held from October 24th to 26th, 2025, dressed as Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. We also interviewed her about the aspects she aimed to express with the costume.
——What inspired you to cosplay as Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica this time?
BAN-chan：I was captivated by every aspect of Homura—her strength, her beauty, and her deep devotion to Madoka—and was inspired to try to portray all of it myself.
——What aspects did you want to express with this cosplay, and what parts do you like about it?
BAN-chan：I handcrafted Devil Homura's wings, meticulously deciding on the materials and texture myself; they are the part of this cosplay I was most particular about. The costume itself is very high quality, and I particularly love the long, flowing skirt section, which looks just like the original work.
——Please tell us when you first encountered Madoka Magica and what aspects you find appealing.
BAN-chan：I first learned about Puella Magi Madoka Magica when I was in elementary school, and I initially thought it was just a typical anime where cute girls fight enemies. However, when I actually watched the show and understood why they were fighting Witches and the depth of their feelings, I was deeply drawn to its complexity.

Unfortunately, BAN-chan has already announced her retirement from cosplay. Her striking and beautiful Devil Homura costume served as a magnificent finale to her career.
