Worldwide Box Office Revenue Exceeds 5.7 Billion Yen! Jujutsu Kaisen The Movie Ranks 4th in North American Weekend Box Office Debut

The latest box office results have been announced for Jujutsu Kaisen The Movie: Shibuya Incident Special Edition & Culling Game Advance Screening, which was released on Friday, November 7. As of Sunday, December 7, the film has surpassed 1.24 million admissions and 1.85 billion yen in box office revenue over 31 days. Additionally, its weekend box office debut in North America ranked 4th.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga by Gege Akutami serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha), with the series having exceeded 100 million copies in circulation (including digital editions).The series was adapted into a TV anime starting in 2020, and the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, released in 2021, recorded 26.5 billion yen in worldwide box office revenue. The second season of the TV anime, covering the "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu" (Hidden Inventory/Premature Death) and "Shibuya Incident" arcs, was broadcast in 2023.A revival screening of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 began on Friday, October 17, and the broadcast of the third season of the TV anime, Culling Game Part 1, is also scheduled to begin in January 2026.

The film began a large-scale release in 1,833 theaters across North America starting on Friday, December 5, recording over 10 million USD in box office revenue during the three-day period ending on Sunday, December 7. It ranked 4th in the North American weekend box office rankings in its debut.

Furthermore, the film is currently screening in over 80 regions worldwide, including Japan and North America. Combining the box office revenue from these regions, the worldwide box office revenue surpassed 5.7 billion yen based on figures up to Monday, December 8.
