Anime "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" Final Chapter Confirmed for Theatrical Film Production! Based on Completely Original Draft by the Original Creator

The final chapter of the anime "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" has been confirmed for production as a completely new theatrical film. It has been revealed that the story will be based on a completely original draft written by the original creator, Aka Akasaka. The release date and other details have not yet been announced.

"Kaguya-sama: Love is War" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" by Aka Akasaka, who is also known for creating "Oshi no Ko." All 28 volumes of the comic have been published, and spin-off comics and novelizations have also been released, with the series surpassing a total of 24 million copies in circulation.

The TV anime version was produced over three seasons, and on December 31, 2025, the latest installment in the series, the TV special "Kaguya-sama: Love is War - The First Step Toward Adulthood," was broadcast.

Upon the announcement, Akasaka commented on the final chapter, saying, "Wow, I thought this is going to be tough for the anime team." He also wrote, "I hope to deliver a completely new work, probably the very last Kaguya-sama."
