The Anti-Demon Lord Weapon "Goddess" Sleeps in a Large Coffin... Anime "Sentenced to Be a Hero" Episode 1 Synopsis & Advance Cuts Released

The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 1 of the anime "Sentenced to Be a Hero: Penal Hero Squad 9004 Prison Records" have been released.

"Sentenced to Be a Hero" is based on a light novel by Rocket Shōkai. It has won numerous awards including the "Kakuyomu Award 2020," "Tsugi ni Kuru Light Novel Taishou 2021," and "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2023." The first volume of the book (illustrated by Mephisto) was published in September 2021 by Dengeki no Shinbungei (KADOKAWA).

Xylo Forbartz (CV: Yōhei Azakami), a former Holy Knight Commander sentenced to hero punishment, leads a penal hero squad composed of individuals with broken personalities, charging through the front lines of battle. In the midst of harsh circumstances, Xylo encounters Teoritta (CV: Mayu Iizuka), the sword "Goddess," one of the strongest biological weapons. To survive, to achieve revenge against those who set him up—Xylo enters into a contract with the "Goddess" and throws himself into the midst of fierce conflict and conspiracy in a desperate world.
