New "Lyrical Nanoha" TV Anime "Gun Blaze Vengeance" Set for July Premiere! Main Cast & Key Visual Revealed

It has been officially announced that Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance (abbreviated as GunBlaze), the latest TV anime installment in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series created and scripted by Masaki Tsuzuki, will begin broadcasting this July. Along with the premiere date, the production team has released the main cast list, the second key visual, and a teaser PV.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance marks the newest chapter in the long-running franchise that first debuted in 2004.

Thirty years ago, the world was on the brink of extinction due to the sudden appearance of unknown "Invasive Alien Species." Humanity and these "Aggressors" have since been locked in a constant struggle for territory. While human safety is currently maintained at a bare minimum, the world remains on a knife-edge. People live their daily lives dreading death and ruin, often choosing to look away from the looming disasters. In this fragile world, the United Nations Dangerous Species Research Agency—known as "EXCEEDS"—has stepped up to neutralize the threats posed by these invasive creatures.

The story begins in the far-eastern island nation of Mizuho. Shiina Kuze (VA: Azusa Tachibana), a young "Vermin Hunter" living on a remote island, wants nothing more than a peaceful life with her younger sister and only family member, Setsuna (VA: Rina Hidaka). However, fate has other plans in store for her.

The newly released second key visual depicts a gathering of "mysterious girls" in dark ruins, led by the "Majin" Towa Yorumi. Fans are eager to learn more about these enigmatic figures and their hidden identities.

The main cast members have also been confirmed. Azusa Tachibana will voice the protagonist Shiina Kuze, a high schooler and hunter living on a remote island, while Rina Hidaka takes on the role of her sister, Setsuna Kuze.

Additionally, Asaki Yuikawa will play the mysterious "Majin" Towa Yorumi. Joining her are Chiharu (as Shiori Aizawa), Aika Kobayashi (as Yuna Kitamori), Ayasa Ito (as Aoi Niina), and Hina Aoki (as Yuzu Kodera), who play the supporters surrounding Towa.

The teaser PV released alongside the news provides a look at the series' trajectory, following the timeline of the previous two-part movie project. The narration is provided by Nautica Lin (VA: Mayuko Kazama), a character who first appeared during the "Lyrical Watch Party" event.

I went into the audition after imagining and writing down all her complex thoughts and emotions that weren't in the script—even the true feelings that Towa herself might not realize.

Towa is a very strong girl who grew up in painful circumstances and has kept living until now while searching for a reason to exist. Please watch over the series so she can find—and recognize—something precious."

"I’m Chiharu, and I’ll be playing Shiori Aizawa. I’m so happy and honored to be involved in the Lyrical Nanoha series, which is loved by so many fans. Shiori is a very reliable girl who stays true to her convictions. I hope you’ll see for yourselves how she fits into the story! Aika Kobayashi (as Yuna Kitamori)

"I’m Aika Kobayashi, voicing Yuna Kitamori. Since I played her with completely different vibes during the tape audition and the studio audition, I remember walking home with my manager afterwards, dejectedly saying, 'Hmm... I wonder if my gyaru performance was okay today...' lol. I was quite worried about how to portray her.

Because it’s such a beloved series, I was nervous, so I was incredibly happy when I was chosen as Yuna! I’m so glad I got to meet her. She’s incredibly kind and cares deeply about her friends. Plus, she has the style of a model! She’s a gyaru who is both cute and cool. Please give Yuna your support!!"
