Ahead of its premiere on Tuesday, January 6 at 24:00, the TV anime "The Darwin Incident" has released the synopsis and preview images for Episode 1.

Based on the manga serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon, the series is a "human and non-human drama" following Charlie (VA: Atsumi Tanezaki)—a "non-human" born between a human and a chimpanzee—as he confronts deep-seated issues such as terrorism, social media firestorms, and discrimination.The original manga has surpassed 2.2 million copies in circulation and has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious Manga Taisho 2022.

【Synopsis】
Charlie is a "humanzee"—a hybrid born between a human and a chimpanzee—raised by the Gilberts, world-renowned authorities in chimpanzee research.
