Makio Reunites with Her Former Lover, Shingo Kasamachi… Anime "Journal with Witch" Episode 2 Synopsis & Advance Cuts Released

The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 2 of the anime "Journal with Witch" have been released.

The original work is the comic "Journal with Witch" by Tomoko Yamashita, which was serialized in "FEEL YOUNG" (Shodensha) from 2017 to 2023 and has surpassed 1.8 million copies in total circulation. It depicts the tentative cohabitation life of Makio Kōdai (CV. Miyuki Sawashiro), a shy novelist, and Asa Takumi (CV. Fūko Mori), her niece who lost both parents.

This popular work continues to be loved by many readers even after the serialization ended, having achieved 4th place in "Manga Taisho 2019," 5th place in the Women's category of "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024," and 1st place in the comic ranking of Da Vinci's "BOOK OF THE YEAR 2023." It is currently broadcasting on terrestrial TV every Sunday at 24:00.

[Synopsis]
Nana Daigo, Makio's friend, visits the shared life of Makio and Asa. The three decide to make gyoza together, and during the lively time, Asa experiences a gentle side of Makio that she had not shown her before. While carrying the loneliness of losing her parents, Asa gradually recovers her connections with people. Meanwhile, Makio, who is also confused by the unfamiliar lifestyle, reunites with her former lover, Shingo Kasamachi, triggered by Nana Daigo's advice.
