The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 1 of the anime "A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans" have been released.

"A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans" is based on a light novel that marks the author debut of Natsume Kurusu, who belongs to the VTuber group "Nijisanji." It is a school human drama in which the protagonist, Rei Hitoma (CV: Toshiki Masuda), a former teacher with trauma from human relationships, takes up a position at a school attended by demi-human girls who aspire to become human, and takes up the teaching profession once again. The story depicts students of various species—including merfolk, werewolves, rabbits, and birds—growing while harboring admiration for human society. The TV anime will begin broadcasting on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
