The anime Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You is based on the highly popular manga by Haruka Mitsui, currently serialized in Kodansha's monthly magazine Nakayoshi. Season 2 is now airing every Thursday at 1:28 AM (JST) on TBS.

July 1, 2020. Mizuho (CV: Sakura Shinfuku), a second-year high school student, is having the absolute worst 17th birthday.

She missed her chance to get closer to the upperclassman she admires, and her parents have completely forgotten her special day. To make matters worse, due to the outbreak of an unknown infectious disease, her club competitions and school trips have all been canceled. "I guess there’s no such thing as a 'sparkling youth' for me," she thought.

But just then, her childhood friend Kizuki (CV: Kazuki Ura) suddenly declares himself a "candidate for her boyfriend." Triggered by Kizuki’s actions, Shin (CV: Shion Yoshitaka) also confesses his feelings, leaving Mizuho utterly bewildered. Meanwhile, Airu (CV: Shoya Chiba) and Shugo (CV: Satoshi Inomata) begin to pursue their own loves, and the balance of their five-way relationship starts to crumble.

This is a youth romance story depicting the evolving emotions between Mizuho Nishino and the four childhood friends she grew up with like family.
