Medalist Season 2 Episode 1 Synopsis, Preview Cuts & Trailer Released! Movie Adaptation Set for 2027 Premiere

New preview images, a synopsis, and the trailer for the first episode of Medalist Season 2 (Episode 14 overall) have been released. Along with this, the key visual for the second season has also been unveiled.

It was also announced that the series' first-ever theatrical movie has been greenlit, with a scheduled release for 2027. The movie will depict the story that follows the events of the TV anime's second season.

Medalist is based on the manga by Tsurumaikada, currently serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon. The story follows Inori Yuitsuka (voiced by Natsumi Haruse) and Tsukasa Akeuraji (voiced by Takeo Otsuka), who share a burning passion for figure skating and meet as "athlete and coach" to aim for the glory of becoming "Medalists." The second season of the TV anime will premiere on January 24, 2026, during the "NUMAnimation" block on TV Asahi and 24 affiliated stations nationwide.

The Chubu Block Championships: the gatekeepers to the All-Japan Novice Championships. Overwhelmed with emotion to finally be at the place of her dreams, Inori Yuitsuka enthusiastically greets her fellow Novice A rivals. But the atmosphere shifts with the arrival of the National Training Athletes selected by the Federation.
