At the "Dragon Ball Genkidama Festival" event held at Makuhari Messe on January 25th, the production of 'Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol', a completely new installment in the 'Dragon Ball Super' anime series, was announced.

This work is a story that continues from the "Universe Survival Saga" of the TV anime 'Dragon Ball Super', which aired from 2015 to 2018. Original work, story, and character design are handled by Akira Toriyama. In the 'Dragon Ball Super' manga, it is included in the comics as the "Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga". In the story, Son Goku and Vegeta cooperate with the Galactic Patrol, who protect the peace of the galaxy, and engage in an ultra-scale fierce battle against a new powerful enemy, "Moro the Planet-Eater".

On the event stage, Masako Nozawa, who voices Son Goku, and Executive Producer Akio Iyoku appeared and announced the production as a surprise. The teaser visual that was simultaneously released depicts Goku and Vegeta wearing gi and battle suits adorned with the Galactic Patrol mark on their chests, creating an illustration that heightens expectations for a new battle.
