A Guardian Supervisor Appears Before Asa and Makio... Anime "Journal with Witch" Episode 5 Synopsis & Preview Cuts Released

The synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 5 of the anime Journal with Witch have been released.

The original work is Tomoko Yamashita’s manga Journal with Witch, which was serialized in "FEEL YOUNG" (Shodensha) from 2017 to 2023 and has surpassed 2.05 million copies in circulation. It depicts the tentative daily life of Makio Kōdai (CV: Miyuki Sawashiro), a shy novelist, and her niece Asa Takumi (CV: Fuko Mori), a young girl who lost her parents.

Having ranked 4th in "Manga Taisho 2019," 5th in the Women’s category of "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024," and 1st in the Da Vinci "BOOK OF THE YEAR 2023" comic ranking, it remains a buzzworthy title loved by many readers even after its conclusion. It is currently airing on terrestrial television every Sunday at 24:00.

Asa finds herself drawn to the light music club but remains unable to take that first step for some reason. She suddenly recalls her mother, Minori, who would kindly tell her to "Become whatever you want to be," yet never praised her when she cut her long hair. Meanwhile, Kazunari Tono, the guardian supervisor, appears before Asa and Makio.
