Don and Rei pick up a creature that looks like a horseshoe crab... Anime "High School! Kimengumi" Episode 5 synopsis & preview images released

The synopsis and preview images for Episode 5 of the anime "High School! Kimengumi" have been released.

The original manga began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) in 1980 as "3rd Year Kimengumi." It became a massive hit due to its innovative concept—at the time—of changing the title to "High School! Kimengumi" as the characters advanced to higher education. Furthermore, a TV anime adaptation began airing in 1985, sparking a huge cultural phenomenon.

Broadcasting began on January 9th on the Fuji TV "noitaminA" block, airing every Friday at 23:30, with streaming services following sequentially from January 10th.

【Synopsis】
"The Arch-nemesis Approaches: Don Harumage!"
The "Kimengumi" and Yui visit Rei's house. While looking through Rei's childhood photo album, they notice a boy who was always by Rei's side. Apparently, he moved away right after graduating elementary school—but wait? Rei's fated rival, Don Harumage, finally joins the fray!

"Let's Play Somewhere in the Universe"
Don, who transferred into Class 6, is feeling a bit jealous of Rei, who seems to be having a blast in Class 5 next door. Amidst all this, on a stormy day, Don and Rei pick up a mysterious creature that looks just like a horseshoe crab!? The two name the creature "Pochi" and bring it to school, but things don't exactly go as planned... lol
