The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 9 of the anime "You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!" have been released.

"You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!" is the "hottest childhood friend rom-com" currently serialized on Magazine Pocket by Shinya Misu, depicting the sweet, frustrating, and clumsy romance between childhood friends. Directed by Satoshi Kuwabara, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota, scripts by Mitsutaka Hirota and Mayumi Morita, character design and chief animation direction by Reina Iwasaki, and animation production by Tezuka Productions, the series comically and delicately portrays the unfolding love stories of childhood friends. Haru Hinata, a member of the girls' track and field team at the same high school. Eiyu and the others are shocked to learn that she is the "Haru," the childhood friend they used to play with in elementary school. In fact, all three of them had been under the impression that Haru was a boy. Eiyu can't help but feel flustered by how much Haru has grown up and matured. Haru mentions she saw the three of them at the fireworks festival. When she puts him on the spot by asking, "So, which one is Eiyu going to pick?" Eiyu is at a loss for words. With the appearance of a fourth childhood friend, the rom-com vibes are ramping up even more!
