Anime "PSYREN" Broadcast Start Confirmed for October! New Visuals of 5 Main Characters Also Released

It has been confirmed that the anime "PSYREN" will begin broadcasting in October 2026. Additionally, it was announced that the entire story will be animated through to its conclusion, and the second teaser visual along with character introductions have been released.

This work is based on the supernatural battle suspense manga by Toshiaki Iwashiro, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) from 2008 to 2010. It has been nominated three times for AnimeJapan's voting project "Manga Ranking We Want to See Animated," and even now, approximately 15 years after its conclusion, it continues to enjoy strong popularity.

The newly released second teaser visual features all five main characters together for the first time. The content depicts the five walking through a modern city street, imagining the moment just before a life-or-death battle begins, with serious, determined expressions drawn amidst an ominous atmosphere. Among them, Ageha displays a composed expression, reflecting the characteristics of each character, making this a visual that piques curiosity about future developments.

Ageha Yoshina (CV: Rikuya Yasuda)

A first-year student at Shirataki High School. He lost his mother when he was in elementary school, and his father is away on a business transfer. He lives with his older sister Fubuki. Though quick to fight, he cannot leave others alone, and his feelings for his friends and family are stronger than anyone's. After picking up a mysterious "red telephone card," he steps into a life-or-death game.

Sakurako Amamiya (CV: Mayuko Kazama)

A first-year student at Shirataki High School. She is Ageha's childhood friend since elementary school. While she was bright and popular when young, she is now called the "Ice Queen," keeping others at a distance and isolated. One day, she suddenly disappeared.

Hiryuu Asaga (CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi)

A first-year student at Chikuha High School. With a large build, powerful physique, and physical strength, he is known by the nickname "Dragon." Despite his tough appearance, he is considerate of others and handles situations calmly, being the type to think before acting. He is searching for his missing junior, Tatsuo.

Oboro Mochizuki (CV: Souma Saitou)

21 years old. A popular actor. His favorite food is melonpan. Contrary to his wholesome appearance, he dislikes boredom and seeks thrills and the excitement of life. To that end, he doesn't mind putting himself in danger.

Kabuto Kirisaki (CV: Yukihiro Nozuyama)

A carefree 19-year-old who loves money and girls. He doesn't have a proper job and tries to live an easy life. He has an uncle who is a journalist.
