The TV anime "From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II," scheduled to air in July on TV Asahi's nationwide network of 24 stations, BS Asahi, and AT-X, with worldwide exclusive streaming on Prime Video, unveiled its second PV at the special stage for this production at the NBC Universal Entertainment Japan booth during "AnimeJapan 2026" held on March 28th.

"From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman" is a royal road swordsman fantasy based on a novel created by author Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrator Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Together with the manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato and two spinoff titles, the series has surpassed a cumulative total of 9 million copies, making it a hot topic.

The first season of the TV anime, produced based on the original novel, was broadcast from April 2025 on TV Asahi's nationwide network of 24 stations in the "IMAnimation" slot, BS Asahi, and AT-X, with worldwide exclusive streaming on Prime Video.

The second PV depicts Beryl Gardinant (CV: Hiroaki Hirata), who was appointed as a special instructor for the knight order from being a master of a countryside swordsmanship dojo in the first season, being newly appointed as a teacher at the magic academy. Following a proposal from Lucy Diamond (CV: Chiwa Saito), the content includes action scenes where Beryl delves into his daily life with his disciples and the secrets of the magic academy, raising expectations for the second season.

At the special stage held on March 28th, Hiroaki Hirata, who plays Beryl Gardinant, Nao Toyama, who plays Allucia Citrus, and Hinaki Yano, who plays Ficelle Harbeller, appeared on stage and discussed the highlights of the second season along with the announcement of new information. Beyond the stage, the booth was bustling with activities such as cosplayers of Allucia Citrus (Rio Kureha) and Ficelle Harbeller (Sumire Ojisan) conducting greetings at the photo spot for this production.
