Anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" Main Key Visual & Main PV Part 1 Released! OP & ED Theme Song Information Also Unveiled

The main key visual and main PV part 1 for the anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" have been released. Additionally, it has been announced that OP and ED theme song information has been unveiled, and the series will begin streaming on ABEMA starting in June, ahead of its terrestrial broadcast scheduled for July.

The TV anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" is a slice-of-life human drama based on the manga by Jinushi, which is currently serialized in the monthly magazine "Big Gangan" (Square Enix). The story depicts moments between Sasaki, a middle-aged salaryman exhausted from work, and Tayama, a mysterious woman who works at the supermarket he frequents, as they exchange words while smoking cigarettes behind the store.

This "dual-faced cigarette story," which carefully portrays slightly mysterious connections between adults in everyday life, has resonated with many readers, winning first place in the Web Manga category of "Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho 2022," and the manga volumes have surpassed a cumulative total of 3 million copies. With the highly anticipated TV anime broadcast scheduled to begin in July, attention is gathering on how the interactions between these two characters will be portrayed in animation.

The opening theme for this work will be performed by ZUTOMAYO. The ending theme has been decided as "Fiction," a newly written song by imase, which is also used in the main PV part 1. Main PV part 2, which will feature ZUTOMAYO's opening theme, is scheduled to be released at a later date.
