"Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc" Set for October! Announced at AJ Stage Featuring a Surprise Appearance by Nobuhiko Okamoto

It has been confirmed that the anime Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc will begin broadcasting in October 2026. Additionally, it was announced that Kento Ito will voice Yū Innami, a part-time instructor at Rasetsu Academy.

Based on the popular manga by Yura Urushibara currently serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion (Akita Shoten) with over 5.5 million copies in circulation, Tougen Anki is a next-generation dark hero oni-tale. Inspired by the folklore of Momotaro—a story known to every Japanese person—it depicts the conflict between those who carry the blood of the Oni and those who carry the blood of Momotaro. Following the "Kyoto Arc" in July 2025 and the "Nerima Arc" in October 2025, the saga continues.

On Sunday, March 29, at the Pony Canyon booth during "AnimeJapan 2026," a special stage event was held featuring Kazuki Ura (voice of Shiki Ichinose) and Kōtarō Nishiyama (voice of Jin Kōgasaki). It was there that the Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc was announced to premiere in October on the NTV network's "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" block. Following this, new characters and cast members were revealed, starting with Kento Ito as Yū Innami, who shared a video comment for the fans. Nobuhiko Okamoto, who plays the new character Hagure Nekozaki, thrilled the audience with a surprise appearance on stage, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the recently started dubbing sessions.
