It has been officially announced that the movie [Part 1] Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi, the newest animation in the popular Made in Abyss series, will be released in theaters on Friday, October 23.

Accompanying the release date announcement, the key visual was also revealed. In addition to familiar faces like Riko, Reg, Nanachi, and Faputa, the figure of Cravali is depicted lurking in the shadows.

In celebration of the new film's release, it was also announced that the compilation movies—Made in Abyss: Journey's Dawn and Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight—will return to theaters for a limited two-week revival screening. The screening periods are May 22 (Fri) to June 4 (Thu) for the first part, and May 29 (Fri) to June 11 (Thu) for the second part. Furthermore, the "Mini Illustration Cards" drawn by Akihito Tsukushi will return as special theater gifts for attendees. Looking ahead, marathon screenings of the movie Dawn of the Deep Soul and the second TV season, The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, are also planned.

Additionally, ahead of the new anime developments, pre-registration for the first-ever Made in Abyss smartphone game, Made in Abyss: An Irredeemable and Mysterious Journey, began on March 28. This title is a roguelike RPG where players become Delvers drawn by the allure of the Abyss, aiming for its deepest reaches. Future updates regarding the game’s release will be shared via the official game X (formerly Twitter) account.
