Honey Lemon Soda Finally Concludes! Ribon May Issue (Out April 3) Features Final Chapter and Upcoming Consecutive Bonus Booklets

The May 2026 issue of Ribon will be released on April 3. In this issue, Mayu Murata’s "Honey Lemon Soda" reaches its grand finale. Additionally, the issue is packed with multiple new works and special projects, including a special collaboration manga between "Chibi Maruko-chan" and "Crayon Shin-chan," and the start of Ari Nashino’s new series, "Mikami-kun no Adeyaka na Himegoto."

The concluding series, "Honey Lemon Soda," is a youth romance story centered on the protagonist Uka Ishimori, who was called "Stone" during middle school, and the cool "lemon soda boy," Kai Miura. This final chapter marks a milestone 10th anniversary since its serialization began in 2015. The series has surpassed a total of 16 million copies in circulation (including digital versions) and has expanded into various media, including a live-action film in 2021 and a TV anime adaptation in 2025.

Volume 31 of the manga, which includes the final chapter, is scheduled for release on May 25. Furthermore, it has been decided that consecutive bonus booklets for the series will be featured in the June issue (scheduled for release on May 2) and the July issue (scheduled for release on June 3) of Ribon. The first installment in the June issue will include the "Honey Lemon Soda Illustration Book: Treasure Box," featuring 32 pages in full color.

The May issue also features a 17-page color special one-shot titled "Chibi Maruko-chan: Maruko Meets Shinnosuke," along with a collaboration pouch bonus featuring original illustrations from both series.

In addition to Ari Nashino’s new series "Mikami-kun no Adeyaka na Himegoto" and Noriko Asaka’s new one-shot "Yukai Gokko," the "Spring One-Shot Festival" features four works by Aya Segawa, Riku Koishi, Kou Yukimura, and Suzu Kumano. The issue also includes special features on VTuber Usada Pekora and the boys group OWV.
