The anime "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-" (commonly known as "Re:Zero") series is based on the popular novel (Original work: Tappei Nagatsuki / Illustration: Shinichiro Otsuka), which has surpassed a total of 16 million copies in circulation worldwide (including digital versions). It is a dark fantasy depicting Subaru Natsuki (CV: Yūsuke Kobayashi), who unexpectedly wanders into another world, as he faces a cruel fate using his "Return by Death" ability to rewind time upon dying.

Joined by Ram, Rem, and Meili, the challenging journey to the Augria Sand Dunes—the demonlands where the Pleiades Watchtower stands—has begun. However, just as they heard in the town of Mirula that "no one has been able to reach the watchtower for four hundred years," the distance to the tower strangely does not close at all, even as they fend off witchbeasts with Meili's protection and survive the sandstorm-ridden "Time of Sands."
