The latest work by manga artist Hiroshi Motomiya, Bunnaguri Sensei (complete in 1 volume / serialized in Grand Jump), was released on April 17. To mark this occasion, it was announced that the cumulative circulation of Motomiya’s physical manga volumes published by Shueisha has surpassed the 100 million mark.

Motomiya debuted his first serialized work, Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho, in Shonen Jump (now Weekly Shonen Jump) in 1968, shortly after the magazine's founding, and played a major role in its rapid rise to success. Since then, he has expanded his reach to magazines such as Monthly Shonen Jump, Weekly Playboy, and Weekly Young Jump, delivering numerous hits like Koha Ginjiro, Ore no Sora, and Salaryman Kintaro. He has remained at the forefront of the manga industry for over 60 years.

In recognition of this achievement, the Hiroshi Motomiya Manga Daizenju (Complete Manga Works) series will begin publication on November 19 as part of Shueisha’s 100th-anniversary project. This ambitious project is set to span over 152 volumes, fully chronicling Motomiya’s career of more than six decades.

As the first installment of the project's first phase, Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho will be available both as individual volumes and as a "Special Edition BOX Set (8 volumes total)," which is available exclusively by pre-order. This special edition is priced identically to the total cost of the eight individual volumes but comes in a special specification featuring four luxury bonus items. Pre-orders are being accepted at bookstores across Japan until August 2.
