"Witch Hat Atelier" Anime Special to Air on May 5! Main Cast Including Rena Motomura and Natsuki Hanae to Appear

A special program titled "TV Anime 'Witch Hat Atelier' Special: ABEMA Atelier" will be broadcast exclusively for free on ABEMA starting at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5 (holiday).

The TV anime "Witch Hat Atelier" is based on the popular fantasy manga by Kamome Shirahama, currently serialized in Kodansha's "Morning Two." Set in a world with the strict rule that "those who cannot use magic must not witness the moment it is cast," the story depicts a magnificent high fantasy centered on Coco, a girl who longs to be a witch, and Qifrey, a wizard. The series has gained high acclaim both in Japan and overseas for its intricate world-building and beautiful artwork, surpassing 7.5 million copies in circulation and winning numerous manga awards worldwide. The TV anime, which began airing in April 2026, is also attracting significant attention.

The special program set for this exclusive free broadcast will bring together the main cast members: Rena Motomura (voice of Coco), Natsuki Hanae (voice of Qifrey), Hibiku Yamamura (voice of Agott), Kurumi Haruki (voice of Tetia), and Hika Tsukishiro (voice of Richeh). They will reflect on the story so far and provide an in-depth explanation of the charms of the series and its characters.

Additionally, on May 4 (Monday, holiday), the day before the special broadcast, a free catch-up marathon of the "Witch Hat Atelier" TV anime will be held.

Furthermore, a giveaway campaign to commemorate the special program has been confirmed.
