The story features original characters Genki-kun, a 5-year-old boy, and his 2-year-old younger brother, Tekkamaru, as the main characters, with the serialization starting in the July issue, on sale June 15.

This project aims to deliver the brand's appeal to more children through original characters.

The manga title is "Uobei: Version Up with Sushi!! Genki-kun." The author is Hifumi Mitsui, known for "Reading Suika Game" and other works, who will depict the characters' charm with a humorous and energetic style.

The story revolves around the struggles of Genki-kun, who versions up by eating sushi. One of the highlights is the unique relationship between the brothers, such as his mischievous younger brother, Tekkamaru, cheering for his older brother with all his might.

Furthermore, in the August issue to be released on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, a reader-participation illustration contest project is scheduled to be held, developing the project through communication with readers. This serialization will also be published in "Weekly CoroCoro Comic," which can be viewed online, allowing a wide range of readers to enjoy it.
