"The World's Strongest Rearguard" Simultaneous Terrestrial Broadcast & Exclusive Free Streaming to Start on July 5! Special Pre-broadcast Program Also Set for June 27

On ABEMA, the new Summer 2026 anime "The World's Strongest Rearguard - Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker" will be broadcast simultaneously with its terrestrial release and exclusively streamed for free.

This work is an isekai fantasy adapted from the light novel by Towa, which originated on "Shousetsuka ni Narou." It depicts Arihito, a former corporate slave who is reincarnated into the alternative world of "Labyrinth Country" after an accident, becoming a labyrinth seeker in the mysterious class "Rearguard" and growing alongside his companions.

Supporting his allies as a "Rearguard", an all-rounder profession capable of capable of handling attacks, defense support, and healing, Arihito—the "strongest watchful guardian-style support class"—leads exhilarating battles and adventures that have gained immense popularity, drawing significant attention to the highly anticipated TV anime starting this July.

It has been decided that ABEMA will broadcast this work simultaneously with its terrestrial release every Sunday at 10:00 PM starting July 5. Furthermore, the latest episode will be available for exclusive free streaming for one week, starting every Sunday at 10:00 PM, one week after the initial broadcast.

Additionally, an exclusive free live broadcast of the special pre-broadcast program "The World's Strongest Rearguard - Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker" to commemorate the start of the TV anime broadcast has been scheduled for June 27 at 9:00 PM. This program will feature the main cast, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (as Arihito), Aoi Koga (as Theresia), Sakura Nakamura (as Kyōka), Saori Hayami (as Suzuna), and Kaede Hondo (as Misaki), who will thoroughly explain the highlights of the series and the charm of the characters ahead of the upcoming TV anime.
